Live Edge Table

This table is part of my upcoming show  - GUERILLA BY DESIGN  - Aug. 10 - 12, 2012   - for more information see here  - http://guerillabydesign.blogspot.com/

This low table is made of Spalted Dutch Elm wood, with three chunky steel legs. It is intended to be a dining table for asain-style seating, and for the show will be shown with zabuton - traditional Japanese floor-seating cushions. However, it is the height of a low coffee table, and could function as such.

Below are some process shots of the piece being roughed out, and the cracks are being filled with a two-part epoxy dyed black. To see the final piece... COME TO THE SHOW!!!

The Crib is Completed!!

Yay!! The Crib is done!!It has been a long process, but well worth it. The piece is made of solid walnut legs, hard maple for all of the body of the crib, and slats are done with mahogany inlay.

Below are the rest of the process photos for finishing the crib. Keep in touch for next week when I will post studio photos of the finished work, and photos of the piece in it's home.
